About the role:
We are seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the company’s technology and engineering efforts, playing a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and operational excellence of this dynamic organization. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced environment at the forefront of AI and robotics innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the company’s technology strategy in alignment with business goals.
- Lead engineering teams across AI/ML, software, hardware, and systems engineering, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop long-term integrated product and technology roadmaps.
- Oversee the execution of R&D, new product development, sustaining engineering, and operational improvement programs.
- Ensure compliance with data/cybersecurity, information management, and governance standards.
- Manage the engineering department’s annual budget, aligning with financial objectives.
- Monitor and adopt emerging technologies to enhance product capabilities and company performance.
- Develop scalable software architectures and ensure technical excellence in product development.
- Partner with manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams to achieve design-for-excellence (DFX) goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field; a Master’s degree is highly desirable.
- 15+ years of progressive management experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- 5+ years of project management experience; PMP or similar certification preferred.
- Strong background in AI/ML and demonstrated expertise in driving innovation.
- Proven success in building and leading high-performing, cross-functional engineering teams.
- Experience managing engineering operations within financial budgets.
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of software engineering, including agile development practices.
